Heads Up

Five track EP with nooms released in 2018

These EP's came together through meeting on an online songwriting forum. We adopted a innovatiove approach to writing and recording. We never met or spoke, everything was done off-line. email and and file transfers. Pre-Covid - ahead of our times!

I'd record the music and send it over to nooms. A few months later a fully formed song would emerge, it would just needing a bit of mixing, editing and it's complete :-)

Things kick off with Incoming Hostile a catchy, upbeat guitar & harp driven pop song about the dysphorian world we live in.

Three Jacks follows. A jaunty tune with some augmented chords thrown in for good measure. nooms tells a sangine story of WW1 brothers in arms.

Underfelt creeps up on you, all confessional with its minor descending progression. "I'm better off with machinery" Indeed!

Nu way of a contrast Walk Away lands as a countryesque lament to self and keeping the doomsters at bay.

And lasty the explosive Bare Bones is All. Wth drums, guitars and strings ricocheting off each other, providing a wonderful backing for nooms' surreal storytelling and haunting vocals.

Leaves on the Tracks

Second EP with nooms released in 2021

It starts with the swaggering I want my share. nooms twists the lyrics and vocals around the slinky music. It's complete with a big chorus and some gritty guitar work.

Time train leads with the piano and then quickly builds into an upbeat paean for time travel to visit a long lost friend. Powerful pop, catchy as hell with strings all over the chorus.

The Blues dont gets all rocky and funky at the same time. And as s nooms plaintively starts to sing that they "don't go anywhere without me" the guitars really start to stretch out.

Jason and the Aga then cools things right down as nooms croons about the complexity of modern life to a jazzy piano.

Then Aerosol wraps it all up in muscular style, an unremitting and acerbic commentary on 1st Term mistakes.
