About me

Neil lives in North West Hampshire with his lovely family, a few dogs and cats, and an ever-growing collection of guitars and all his musical “stuff.”

He’s been writing songs since his late teens and playing guitar in bands for most of his life. For the past 20 years, he’s been part of Faccombe’all - a fun, three-piece covers band that plays a few gigs each year.

More recently, Neil has been stepping into the acoustic scene, playing at open mics and booking occasional solo gigs - with more on the horizon.

In terms of original music, Neil has released two EPs as a duo with the rather wonderful Nooms. Heads Up and Leaves on the Tracks are available from Digital streaming services.

His debut solo album, Songs from the Bumpy Track, was recorded at home and is due for digital release in 2025.

Neil also recorded and co-produced the recent release by singer-songwriter Tim Cody - Songs from the Sixties, a highly recommended listen.

Songwriting is a constant habit that Neil has nurtured over the years, inspired and encouraged by Boo Hewerdine and Darden Smith and more recently, Findlay Napier

He’s passionate about collaboration and is working closely with fellow members of the Midnight Song Collective, a group that came together through a Covid-era songwriting course led by Boo and Fin.

Looking ahead, Neil has a second album nearing completion, and a five-track EP currently in the works.
